About West Tennessee Business College

WTBC is committed to providing high-quality and relevant career training for its students. In order to accomplish this mission, the College adapts its academic programs to the changing demands of the business environment and to the individual's needs. This responsiveness to both the business community and to the student population results in a progressive educational atmosphere where students can equip themselves with the tools to be successful in the workplace. This has been our goal for many years since our establishment in 1888, and will remain so into the future.

More About Us

Throughout the year, the college sponsors varies activities for our students and/or community. To name a few:

October fest - food, fun, and fellowship with our student body in the fall season.
Student Appreciation Day - the faculty and staff serve special treats to the students.
Spirit Week - a week-long celebration to raise the morale and spirit of the student body.
Buddy Day - students are encouraged to bring an friend that is interested in college to class.
Thanksgiving Dinner - The college administration, faculty, and staff provide a holiday meal for the students.
May fest - the college has a cookout for the students, sometimes off campus.
Holiday Food and Toy Drives - Faculty, staff, and students compete to raise items needed for the local food banks during the holiday season.
Community Blood Drives - Faculty, staff, and students donate blood to meet the needs of the community. The blood mobile comes on campus.
Military Care Packages - during times of deployment, faculty, staff, and students collect items needed for our military while overseas.

WTBC maintains a diverse student body. Among our enrolled, full-time students in the last year, male students represented 6% of our student body, females constituted 94% of our student body, self-identified members of a major racial or ethnic group comprised 53% of our attendees, and 91% were Pell Grant recipients.
